Hipokrasi kepala lembu: Hishammuddin harus letak jawatan

Jikalau anda berarak dengan kepala lembu yang dipancung, kemudian meminta pertolongan daripada seorang menteri UMNO, atau Menteri Dalam Negeri, Hishammuddin Hussein, beliau semestinya mengendalikannya dengan sambil lalu.

Kemungkinan juga anda mengangkat kepala lembut menurut skrip yang tertulis atau mengikut arahan.  Kemudian menteri tampil ke depan untuk melindungi anda.  Beliau memperoleh manfaat dari sandiwara ini.

Politikus UMNO sebagai pemerintah tidak faham bahawa taktik baru mereka ini tidak disenangi rakyat.

Hishammuddin bertindak secara luar biasa dan tidak bersesuaian apabila menyatakan bahawa mereka yang berarak pada Jumaat lepas tidak harus dipersalahkan.  Beliau tidak harus mempercayai sewenang-wenangnya apa yang dikatakan peserta demonstrasi bahawa mereka tidak tahu dari mana datangnya kepala lembu itu.

Sebanyak 50 orang muslim memijak dan meludah pada kepala lembu di depan bangunan kerajaan negeri Selangor pada Jumaat yang lalu, sebagai protes terhadap keputusan kerajaan untuk memindahkan sebuah kuil yang bersejarah 150 tahun ke kawasan komuniti mereka.  Lembu adalah binatang suci dalam agama Hindu.

Menteri ini tidak memberi penjelasan berkenaan keganasan terhadap mayat binatang.  “Misteri Kepala Lembu” mungkin boleh dijadikan judul buku cerita seram.  Walau bagaimanapun, peserta demonstrasi dan Hishammuddin Hussein kelihatan seolah-olah tolol.

Kami tidak membantah demonstrasi.  Pakatan Rakyat membela hak bersuara dan berkumpul yang diperuntukkan dalam Perlembagaan Persekutuan.  Tetapi apabila peserta demonstrasi mengugut bahawa seandainya tuntutan mereka tidak diterima, pemindahan kuil Hindu ini akan berakhir dengan pertumpahan darah.  Kenyataan sedemikian mungkin mengakibatkan konflik kaum.

Pertemuan Hishammuddin dengan peserta demonstrasi menunjukkan bahawa beliau menyokong golongan yang berfahaman sempit dalam agama, juga menunjukkan bahawa Barisan Nasional kini dalam perancangan untuk merampas kuasa kerajaan negeri Selangor.  Ini membongkarkan motif politik sandiwara yang merbahaya ini.

Naib Presiden UMNO ini berkata polis tidak menghalang perarakan kepala lembu ini kerana bilangan polis terlalu kecil.  Tetapi candle light vigil untuk mengingati Teoh Beng Hock di padang Ampang Jaya pada tahun lepas, telah disuraikan dengan kasar.  Polis telah mengerah sebanyak ratusan tenaga FRU untuk menangkap 20 orang aktivis sosial dan pemimpin pembangkang.

Hishammuddin Hussein mendakwa peserta demonstrasi merasakan diri mereka dianiaya, dan beliau berkata tidak mahu mengambil tindakan terhadap mereka.  Jelas, Hishammuddin telah mengambil alih tugas Peguam Negara kerana kuasa pendakwaan terletak pada tangan Peguam Negara, dan bukan Hishammuddin Hussein.

Hujah sedemikian jelas menunjukkan bahawa peserta demonstrasi adalah samseng upahan UMNO.  Mereka diperalatkan untuk mencungkil sentimen perkauman, dan mengalih pandangan daripada penyelewengan kerajaan.

Rasuah masih berleluasa, ekonomi jatuh merudum, kematian tahanan dalam lokap melonjak, polis dan Suruhanjaya Pencegah Rasuah (SPRM) menyasarkan wakil rakyat PR, media dikawal ketat, blogger ditahan di bawah akta preventive, kadar jenayah meningkat, kaum minoriti terus dipinggirkan, malah skandal seperti Zon Bebas Pelabuhan Klang (PKFZ) diselindungi.

Walaupun demikian, UMNO masih ghairah dengan menghasut sentimen perkauman dan agama, cuba menakut-nakutkan rakyat untuk mengembalikan sokongan pengundi Melayu.

Hishammuddin Hussein (gambar kanan) tidak insaf daripada pengajaran tsunami 8 Mac 2008.  Beliau telah digelar “kerismuddin” kerana menjulang keris dalam perhimpunan UMNO.  Beliau masih dengan keangkuhannya untuk memberi amaran agar bukan Melayu jangan menghasut sentimen perkauman.

Ironinya, Hishammuddin Hussein adalah antara menteri yang menyertai majlis sambutan hari kemerdekaan dan menyahut slogan “1Malaysia”.  Kempen “1Malaysia” PM Najib supaya rakyat bersatu padu dan menjamin kesaksamaan antara kaum telah terburai dalam hati rakyat.

Walaupun kami bersetuju bahawa hipokrasi adalah persamaan politikus UMNO, namun Hishammuddin Hussein adalah Menteri Dalam Negeri yang gagal kerana beliau tidak dapat mengawal keamanan negara.

Beliau bukan sahaja tidak mengambil tindakan terhadap peserta demonstrasi, dan menghalang konflik kaum yang mungkin berlaku, sebaliknya memihak samseng UMNO dan mengabaikan sensitiviti penganut agama Hindu dan undang-undang negara.

Oleh itu, saya menyeru sekeras-kerasnya agar Hishammuddin Hussein meletak jawatan dengan segera.  Saya menggesa agar peguam negara mendakwa peserta demonstrasi dan mengkaji sama ada tindakan Hishammuddin berjumpa dengan peserta demonstrasi semasa siasatan dijalankan itu melanggar undang-undang.

如果你拿着一个斩下的牛头抗议，请向一个巫统部长求助。或者和内政部长希山慕丁会面，他肯定会避重就轻地处理此事。

另一个可能性是你跟着剧本和指示带着血淋淋牛头游行，然后部长挺身而出保护你，他将从这场戏中受益。

执政的巫统政客对于他们的新创举不得人心感到不解。

希山慕丁以高度反常和不恰当的方式说明上周五的示威者不该被责难。他不该轻易相信示威者不知血淋淋牛头从何而来的说法。

上周五，50个回教徒在雪州政府大厦门前向牛头吐痰和猛踢，抗议政府搬迁一间具有150历史的兴都庙到他们的社区。牛在兴都教里是神圣的动物。

这名部长对暴力对待动物尸体的行为不做解释。牛头之谜或可成为悬疑惊栗小说的书名。无论如何，在这个风波中，示威者和希山慕丁看起来就像白痴。

我们并不反对示威，人民联盟维护联邦宪法所赋予的表达自由和集会自由权利。可是当示威者恫言若他们的诉求没被采纳，搬迁兴都庙将导致流血，这个暴力暗示可造成国内的种族冲突。

希山慕丁会见示威者，显示他强力支持宗教偏执行为，也说明国阵的雪州夺权计划已上轨道和揭开这场戏剧的危险政治意图。

这位巫统副主席也指警方没有阻止牛头示威是因为示威人数太少。但是警方却在去年安邦再也草场举办的烛光祈祷会，动用近百名镇暴队员逮捕20位人权份子和反对党政治人物，抗议赵明福之死的和平集会也遭到无情镇压。

希山慕丁声称示威者感到被陷害，他说不愿对示威者采取法律行动。显然希山慕丁取代了总检察长的工作，提控示威者与否，权力在总检察长而非希山慕丁手上。

这些言论清楚显示参与示威者是巫统流氓，他们被用来挑起种族情绪，转移人民对政府弊端的注意力。

贪污依然猖獗，经济陷入低潮，扣留所死者不断增加，警方和反贪委员会锁定对付民联议员，媒体受到严格限制，部落客在预防性法律下被扣留，犯罪率节节上升，少数族群继续被边缘化，还有类似巴生港口自贸区的金融丑闻被扫入地毯。

尽管如此，巫统还是对操弄种族和宗教情绪乐此不疲，它企图在人群中制造恐惧，以重新赢取马来人的支持。

希山慕丁并没有从308政治海啸中吸取经验和脱胎换骨。他挥舞马来短剑的经典动作为他赢得了“克里斯慕丁（kerismuddin）”的昵称。他还目空一切，威胁非马来人勿煽动种族情绪。

讽刺的是希山慕丁是其中一个参与国庆庆典和高喊“一个大马”口号的部长。首相纳吉大力鼓吹“一个大马”运动，致力于促进国民团结和各族平等，这个口号在人民心中已迅速幻灭。

虽然我们同意虚伪是巫统政客的共同特征，希山慕丁却是一个完全失败的内政部长，他无法尽责维护国家安宁和社会暴力。

他不但不采取行动对付示威者和阻止可能发生的种族冲突，反而和巫统流氓站在同一阵线，无视少数兴都教徒的宗教敏感和国家法律。

因此，我强烈呼吁希山慕丁马上辞去内政部长的职务。我也促请总检察长提控示威者和调查希山慕丁在警察调查期间会见示威者是否违反任何法律。

Cow Head Hypocrisy: Hishammuddin Hussein Should Step Down

Press Statement by Member of Parliament Klang Charles Santiago in Klang on 3^rd Sept 2009

If you demonstrate with a chopped cow head, run to an UMNO minister for help. Or hold a meeting with Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein for he would certainly gloss over the seriousness of the issue.

Either that or you have a back door deal scripted to begin with a rally parading a blood-soaked cow head and then the minister himself would come to your protection for he has to pay back the favor.

And ruling UMNO politicians wonder why their novelty is wearing off with Malaysians.

Hishammuddin has acted in a highly irregular and improper manner by stating that the protesters at last Friday’s rally cannot be blamed for the controversy. The minister also cannot be so gullible as to believe that the demonstrators do not know where the bloody cow head came from.

A group of 50 Muslims spat and kicked on the severed head of the cow, considered a sacred animal by the Hindus, to protest the relocation of a 150-year- old temple to their neighborhood.

The minister did not bother to explain such an act of savagery against a dead animal body part. The cow head mystery might be apt as a title for a thriller. In this case, however, the protesters and Hishammuddin only ended up looking like idiots.

We are not against the protest as Pakatan Rakyat believes in the freedom of expression and assembly as enshrined in the federal constitution. But when the protest chief says that there would be bloodshed if their demands are not adhered to, it implies violence which could potentially lead to a racial clash in the country.

Furthermore, the meeting between Hishammuddin and the protesters, his overt support to the bunch of religious bigots suggests that the takeover of the Pakatan Rakyat state of Selangor is on track and teases out the dangerous political elements at play.

The UMNO Vice-President also claims that the police did not move in to clamp down on the protest due to the small turnout of protesters. But trucks of anti-riot police were used to nab less than 20 human rights activists and opposition politicians who held a candle light vigil in a soggy field in Ampang Jaya last year and other protests demanding justice for the late Teoh Beng Hock.

Claiming that the protesters felt victimised, Hishammuddin has said that he is not in favor of legal action against any of the protesters. One wonders if he has taken over the job of the attorney-general who now has to decide if he has a case against the protesters.

These statements clearly show that those present at the demonstration were UMNO goons, used to stir racial sentiments as a way of diverting the attention of the nation from real issues.

We have rampant corruption in the country. The economy is on a downward spiral,  custodial deaths are on the rise, opposition politicians are targeted by the police and anti-corruption commission, media is suppressed, bloggers are arrested under preventive laws, crime rates are increasing, minority communities continue to be marginalised and huge financial scandals, like the PKFZ RM12 billion fiasco, are swept under the carpet.

Despite this, UMNO is resorting to its ancient piles of garbage and devious tactics of interlinking religion and politics to create fear among the masses as a means of getting Malay support back into the party fold.

Yet again, Hishammuddin is not a man of puzzlingly different identities. His keris waving antics earned him the nickname of kerismuddin. He has also bulldozed his way to incur the wrath of Malaysians by issuing subtle threats to non-Malays aimed at fanning racial sentiments.

But the irony is that Hishammuddin was one of the ministers who took part in the recent Merdeka celebrations and echoed slogans of 1Malaysia, which is Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak’s new campaign aimed at national integration through equality to all races.

So, while we agree that hypocrisy is an integral part of UMNO politicians, we also have to take note of the fact that Hishammuddin has failed in his responsibility as a Home Minister.

Instead of taking steps to reprimand the protesters and inadvertently nipping the possibility of racial clashes in the country, he has worked in cohorts with the goons while largely ignoring the religious sensitivity of minority Hindus including the laws of the country.

I, therefore, strongly call for Hishammuddin’s resignation with immediate effect. I also urge the Attorney-General to charge the protesters in an open court and investigate the Home Minister if he had breached laws in meeting with the protestors in the midst of police investigation.
