The fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, went on the record in 1988 to state “If we want to save Malaysia and Umno, Dr Mahathir (then Prime Minister) must be removed. He uses draconian laws such as the Internal Security Act to silence his critics.” The year before, he had also stated “Laws such as the Internal Security Act have no place in modern Malaysia. It is a draconian and barbaric law.”

The last two decades, they have hurt us with their greed but of more pressing concern is the mediocrity at all levels of civil service. Increasingly, the UMNO govt we have today persist in threatening us with their stupidity.

If given continued rein, UMNO is going to unleish onto M’sia the most inept bunch of individuals moving up to administer at the Federal level. Imagine one Ali Rustam (realiable source says he takes English lessons 2-3/week) poise to be Minister !
