YB Charles Santiago visited the Seri Berembang Flats in Pelabuhan Klang. He had received several complains on the poor drain maintenance which has caused denggi fever outbreak among the residents. Residents of the flats had lodged a complain with the Klang Municipal Council last year but are still waiting for a solution. YB Charles Santiago promised to overcome their problem and will report to them on the status of their complain within 2 weeks (stay tuned to the blog for updates) upon receiving an official complain from the residents.

Flats in Klang are the worst places to live.Especially the low and medium cost ones. Some of them are less than 10 years but they are in deplorable conditions. Take for eg the Bukit Tinggi Low Cost Appartments in Batu Nilam 15. The stairways are stewn with rubbish, corridors soiled with cat urine. The building sank twice so far. Repairs were done but safety? This is in a relatively good neighbourhood. If you want to see a classic example of class distinction, Bukit Tinggi Klang would be THE place to watch. The rich, not-so rich and the poor live here in segregated areas.
