Congratulations Charles.
Please make Klang a livable city. Enough of this unplanned development. Klang, given its history should have taken its place as a great city among the cities o the world but the BN’s robbing Peter to pay Paul policies have seen to it that this town doesn’t get any proper development /infrastructure/.
With the dreaded Zak Deros, Teh Kim Poo and their families out of the town council…perhaps there will be proper development. Another word of caution….please stand up to the Sultan’s bullying ways especially when it comes t building structures right beside highways.

Dear Mr. Charles Santiago,
Congratulation on your victory.
Here is where the hardwork starts. I know you will be able to live up to our expectation. We, the people of Klang will try our best to help you as much as we can so that what we fought for will not go to waste 4 years from now in the next general election.
Please do keep us in touch in every instance of development.
Klang used to be a great place to stay, where the traffic was not too heavy, and the town has a great green lung, great town planning and proer infrastructure. Now, it is a town with no proper planning because our BN friend meaning of ‘development’ is build buildings and roads only (when I say build roads, they re-surface road and the roads are getting higher and higher compared to the house, stupid insn’t it). They do not understand the real meaning of development, and supply and demand. Anyway, I hope that all these will change and we will need to make all these changes.
Anyway, we are all here to help. Just let us know and we will do our best to help you.
Thanks again for representing us in Parliment and power to the people.
Regards.

After this, there will be more work to do. I believe that the big loss of BN is a lesson for everybody. I hope that you can represent the people in parliament and ensure that we are having a new Malaysia for all Malaysian. I believe you will check all the irregularities which happended in the government and ensure that no silly policy will be made just to benefit certain group of people. Please also ensure that there will be no more increase of prices…and no more one sided agreement like the tol that allow the company to increase the tol rates and hope that all the project will be really using the method of TENDER. The enforecement of our government agencies are really poor and the productivity and efficiency also in doubt. I really hope that the truth will be exposed for all the unanswered questions…why the MRR2 after spending so much of money it is still not in safe condition, the relevant party should be accountable for it…why the E-kesihatan which is full of controversy they still dare to implement it…why certain projects are to be given to certain companies and so forth….and there are many many more…Corruption is really a problem here and custom department especially is too much, they even daringly ask for money openly. I believe that we can clean u the corrupted department like the Police Force, Custom and others as Hong Kong police force was once the most corrupted, but they establised ICAC which is an independant body and at last they clean up the whole force. I believe that our BPR can do the same job, but it has to be placed under an independant body and not under PM. Well, there is many many more things to be done…Go for it and the Rakyat is behind you!!!!

After analysing what happened in Klang for the past 4 years, I voted for you last Saturday in Sek Keb Bukit Tinggi. I really hope you can make some improvement in several aspects in Klang. Small improvement can means a lot to the public. First, the weak police enforcement in Klang. Crime rates in Klang are rising according to DOS. Please do something about it. Planning permission by Klang local authority should be checked by professional planners to ensure spill over benefits from the development to the public .If you don’t know one, I can introduce some to you. Next, dwindling quality of education in schools such as Sek Men Raja Mahadi really worries me. I am sure this is also a national issue. Gangsterism in Klang is very rampant. Maybe you can negotiate with these people to maintain peace and harmony. Traffic congestion in several areas can be reduced by installing automatic digital traffic lights. Though expensive, the public will really appreciate it since they pay for parking tickets. A better implementation of Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).Do not let the history repeat itself. Make sure the PKFZ development is successful to benefit and prosper the public, private companies and officers, regardless of their ethnicity. More efficient hospitals should be provided in Klang due to huge increasing of population in Klang. The current dilapidated Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah is not adequate. The problems in a growing city are non exhaustive but these are the vital issues which I noticed in Klang. Being a resident in Klang for decades, I believe you will make Klang a better city to live in.
P.S:
You can call me Mr. Wong. I hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Master of Real Estate. If you need assistance in issues within my area of expertise, please do not hesitate to email me.

Congratulations to the opposition in general, Charles and the residents in Klang in particular.
Having given the huge responsibility to “run” Klang town, we understand that you guys will need time to put things into order.
However, we ( I believe I am speaking the minds of thousands of residents irregardless of race ) would like to see justice for the Klang folks. Those who have wronged the people of Klang must be punished. Prove to us that you are against corruption. Promise us that you will help bring to book, corrupt members of the previous administration should you have the proof to do so. Do not swipe them under the carpet.
Also, work with the polis and the locals to improve the security situation so that we can live a peaceful and meaningful life, free from theft, robbery or other crimes which have became so rampant. There were talks and rumours that the polis hands were tied when dealing with Mak rempit and the Indian gangsters with “interference” from UMNO and MIC respectively. Now that they are no longer in power in Klang and Selangor, we hope that such rumours shall not surface anymore.
Improve efficiency in the local council and district office. Do away with the regular and frequent coffee breaks and make sure they are worth their pay every month.
Klang town is getting dirtier, more so with the influx of immigrants from oversea and Sabah/Sarawak. Please do something about it.
Remember, you have only 4 to 5 years to prove your worth and please do not disappoint us. We are all watching how you guys perform compare to the previous administration. Believe me, we would really like to see you do well and with God’s blessing, maybe we, one fine day will have a strong alternate Barisan.
Good luck.
